Meet Shivaay!

Ajmer, Rajasthan

A man looks out of his office window, admiring the peaceful bustling of the city traffic. Towards the left, a building was under construction, the very first hotel of the company in the city. It was the hard work of the last four months his brothers, his workers and he had shown. Suddenly his phone rang.
My Majesty!

"Pranaam Maa. Aap theek hain?"
(Greetings mom. Are you fine?)

"You left me alone with these langoors, how dare you even ask that question!" A woman in her early 50s speaks with an anger, that dares to cover her love.

"Kaam tha Maa, Varna aapke Bholenath bhi hume aapse door nahi kar sakte."
(It was work mom, or else even your god can't separate me from you.)

"Achcha leave it, tell me how's everything there? Are you fine? Was the deal cracked? Was there any trouble?"

"Maa araam se. Yes everything, including me, is fine. Yes, the deal was cracked and no, no trouble. Aapka beta hoon, galti kar hi nahi sakta."
(Mom slowly.) ( I'm your son, nothing wrong can I ever do.)

"Shivaay, mom's proud of you. You are the best person I have." Her praise, her smile...

"Aur main, Vasudha?" An accusing voice of a man in his mind 50s.
(And me?)

"Ofcourse after your father, happy Abhiraj?"

A chuckle left my mouth. For dad, mom should always praise him first.

My secretary, Lakshay emerges, almost banging the door, panting. Sensing the graveness, dad held the phone to himself.

"Shekhawats, they have burned our warehouse in Amer; Aahan was present there, but luckily, he's safe."

My eyes darkened. That had invited the devil himself.

Shivaay Singh Rathore can endure hellfire upon himself but not even a scratch on his family. Blood and ties are never harmed, they must be above anything else.

"Shivaay, let me-"

"No dad, you have a conference tomorrow, media can ask about it. Aap iss bar kuch mat kijiye, I'll handle them myself." (You need not to do anything this time.)

"Unhe maarna mat Shiv, savaal uth sakte hai. If Shekhawats have dared to harm us before the Mafia-meet, they might be planning something massive." (Don't kill them Shiv.)

Mom's right. The weeks after the meeting's announcement are the most crucial period. The chief eyes every organization, restricting their power, if they misuse it, to a greater strength. My organization, Sapphire is already in his limelight, for the past aggressive operations I have done on some of our rivals and enemies, I can't give him another reason to break his silence. But, Shekhawats did cross a line this time, harming my brother.

"I won't guarantee that Maa. Aahan's condition will be their deciding force. If my brother has a scratch, they will have broken bones."

Without another word, I cut the call and left for Kishangarh, one of the remote sites where Shekhawats keep their trade items. Nothing is destructive enough when family is harmed and I'll make sure they keep it fresh in their mind till their death.
